Hey traders and investors,
We’ve just launched Bullboard – the only mobile app that improves your performance in the stock market. It is available now on the App Store.
This is our MVP, so we are not done with all the stuff yet – because we tried to speed up the development process and go live asap. Though the core features are already in the place we skipped pop up tips in the release for example.
However previous few days made it clear: we should give some insights on the basics of Bullboard, to be sure nobody is confused about it.
I would like to start from the beginnings – portfolio management. Bullboard lets you have as many portfolios and watchlists as you want. The number of alerts you can set up is also unlimited.
Getting started and creating your personalized watchlist.
You do not have to register, however I strongly recommend to do it, as it guaranties all of your portfolios and watchlists, trades and overall performance, could be restored if needed.
Anyway, first place where you get after registration screen is your portfolios section with one demo portfolio preinstalled.
If you tap on My Portfolio, you will get to the combined watchlist/open positions screen. Just tap on «+» in the right top corner to add stocks to the watchlist – «Add Stock/ETF» option in pop-up menu. For the moment you can only add one stock in one setting using manual mode, but the good news here is that you can add your comment together with the sentiment at this point. I will deeply describe the importance of this option in the next posts.
After saving you are getting back to «My Portfolio» with the stock added to your watchlist. If you find process of manual adding stocks a bit boring – just go to the screener and discover one of the preinstalled stock lists or create one of your own. All your screening results will appear in the current portfolio. The Bullboard Screener itself is quite a powerful tool for new stock ideas search, and I believe it deserves a separate post to be fully described.
Adding existing transactions.
One of the upcoming Bullboard options is stock broker integration. Once it is in the place the issue of adding existing transactions will be automated. However even now you can copy you existing portfolio from your broker account to monitor it in simple, yet powerful layout.
Just go back to portfolios and create a new one by taping on «+» button in this section, lets call it «Robihood».
You will be able to specify initial cash from the very beginning or you can do it later on if you are not sure how much money you have invested over time. Lets look at the second case
Just tap «+» within the Robinhood portfolio to add a transaction. If you set up a date and time for the stock purchase, Bullboard will automatically give you the actual price.
After adding all the stocks to the portfolio you will find negative Cash in your portfolio. Just swipe right on it and tap «Cover».
Swipe right one more time and add amount of cash available on your existing account and you are up-to-date.
We tried to design the best mobile tool for stock research and analysis, as simple as possible, with intuitive portfolio management. You can access all portfolio performance indicators in one tap, easily create new portfolios or delete old ones, add stocks to a watchlist, open and close positions with one swipe.
Have anyone tapped on «show performance» just under the portfolio total?
